Celebrating Independence Day in Rocket City 2022
Fireworks, hot dogs, and apple pie- Fourth of July is just around the corner, and we have a shortlist of our favorite ways to celebrate in Huntsville this year!
As usual, MidCity District is bringing the party with plenty of fun this weekend: from live music and fireworks to a jam-packed farmer’s market, there’s something for everyone! This free event starts bright and early at 10am.
If you want to spend the holiday enjoying crawfish, hang out with the Trash Pandas this weekend! They’ll have a crawfish eating contest, activities for kids, live entertainment, fireworks, and more! Tickets cost $15, and crawfish will be available to purchase inside.
Looking for a family-friendly celebration in Madison? Head to Dublin Park on Saturday for live music, inflatables, plenty of food vendors, and fireworks (of course)! Park at Bob Jones High School and catch a free shuttle to Dublin so you don’t have to worry about parking, just having a good time.
For something more refined, check out Huntsville Museum of Art’s free admission from 12pm to 5pm on Saturday! Current exhibits include Dorothea Lange’s America, Art by American Women, and American Studio Glass.
If hot air balloon rides are your style, then check out WestFest at West Hartselle Baptist Church! It’s a bit of a drive if you’re in Huntsville proper, but definitely worth it. In addition to hot air balloons, there will be live music, food trucks, and an inflatable Kids Zone.
For a more low-key celebration, The Casual Pint in Providence is partying with food and drink specials all day long, with a special performance by local favorites Jayne & The Huntsmen from 5:30 to 8:30.
After some drinks and music, head outside to see some fireworks! The Village of Providence is doing fireworks again this year, and it’s going to be a blast.
