A Night in Ri0 – Workshops and Salsa Party!
We’re excited to have Joshua Hernandez, Brazilian Zouk instructor from New Orleans introduce Huntsville to Brazilian Zouk. He’ll be teaching workshops in the afternoon (check out the workshop schedule below).
Brazilian Zouk is a sultry and passionate dance that evolved from the Lambada. And it is becoming more and more popular at Salsa Festivals and other events. So don’t get left behind, join us for the workshops and add Zouk to your dance repertoire.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer, Joshua will guide you through the basic steps and rhythmic patterns that make this style so unique.
And at night, during our Salsa Party, we’ll also have some amazing dance shows.
And of course, no party would be complete without social dancing! Put your new skills to the test and hit the dance floor with friends. We’ll be playing a mix of Salsa, Bachata, and Brazilian Zouk music, sprinkled with Cha Cha, Cumbia, and Merengue to keep the party going all night long.
So what are ya waiting for? Grab your dancing shoes and join us for our “Night in Rio de Janeiro” Workshops and Salsa Party. You won’t want to miss this incredible celebration of Brazilian culture and dance!

Spamalot
June 9th – 25th
VBC Playhouse
Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people. Did we mention the bevy of beautiful showgirls? The 2005 Broadway production won three Tony® Awards, including Best Musical, and was followed by two successful West End runs. The outrageous, uproarious, and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake will delight audiences as they search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life.”
Presented by spacial arrangement with Theatrical Rights Worldwide.
Recommended for preteens and up.
